HMc specialises in the packaged goods sector, with a focus on food & drink, working closely with a select group of major, forward-thinking companies including Carlsberg, Diageo, and Arla.

1 | Brand Positioning

Defining the brand’s offering and visual identity to occupy a distinctive place in the mind of their target. We combine conceptual thinking with standout design to give brands a clear and competitive point of view, delivered in impactful toolkits and brand bibles.

2 | Innovation

Spotting new opportunities for brands to stay relevant in a changing world. We stay close to trends, identitfy opportunities, develop new product ideas and visualise them, for testing in research or handing on to a packaging agency for design detailing and artworking.

3 | Category Development

Using storytelling and creativity to breathe life into a host of other growth-orientated internal client initiatives including audience segmentation, defining their innovation processes and shaping the strategy for entire product categories – with a clear ambition to make the conventionally complex, simple and inspiring.



We are searching for a bright, senior creative to join our design team, taking on the role of Senior Designer within a growing, fully integrated agency of 15 people.

You will be responsible for creative, conceptual and strategic thinking, using different mediums to bring to life brand and innovation ideas with real impact.

You’ll be working in partnership with our strategists, presenting your work to senior clients, with shared influence over the conversation. This type of creative consultancy is intende to accelerate our designers up the career ladder, giving them the vocabulary and confidence to excel as Creative Directors in the future.

Our work requires breadth of experience and enthusiasm for variety; we don’t expect you to have expertise in every area, but some of our typical outputs are:

  • Visualised Packaging Concepts
  • Brand Identity Concepts
  • Visual Brand Worlds
  • Brand Design Guidance – typography, palette, photography, pack etc.
  • Conceptual Key Visuals
  • Information Design and Infographics
  • Practical Toolkit Creation
  • Semiotic Reviews
  • Styling Strategic Models
  • Sizzle Reel Videos (film not a requirement)
  • Brand Films (ditto)
  • Brand and Concept Naming (with Strategists)

The role will also involve working with our Head of New Business / Strategy team, to develop proposals.

We are looking for someone with…

  • 4+ years agency background, including time working on household FMCG brands
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite + Microsoft Office (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & PowerPoint)
  • An understanding of the role of consumer insight and positioning in the context of brand building
  • The ability to think conceptually and present ideas clearly, both visually and verbally
  • The confidence to tackle a variety of projects and tailor your approach to suit the client challenge
  • The experience to take a brief and run with it… whether leading a larger team, in a tight unit or independently


  • £40-60k base salary (based on experience), plus bonus scheme after probationary period
